Born in Budapest, Hungary, Eva Hidvegi Demjen started photography at age 16.
Between the years of 1965 and 1972 she had several exhibitions, both at the national and international level. Her photographs won many prestegious prizes, most notable the coveted "Picture of the Year" by the Hungarian Art Association for photography as well as the " Asahi Shimbun"by the Japan Association of Photographic Societies.
Eva worked in Budapest as a photojurnalist until she immigrated to the United States in 1973.
In 1976 Eva co-founded Blackand White Inc., a custom photolab specializing in high quality printing.
Eva Hidvegi Demjen is widley published in books and magazines.
Her works can be found in several privet collections and in the De Cordova Museum Corporate Art Program.
Her most recent group exhibitions were at the Griffin Photography Museum,The Copley Society, Zeitgeist Gallery, Johnson's Art Gallery, Gallery Space200, Gallery Black and White; and Baldwin Hill Art Gallery.
