2021 NOS Inside-Out!
The Needham Open Studios Inside-Out! was a one-day pop-up, outdoor art event held on Saturday, September 18, 2021. There were over ten NOS artists displaying in tented booths that were set up along Garrity Way, in front of the Needham Town Hall, along with an additional outdoor location on 293 Brookline Street. This was our first outdoor-only event exhibiting art of various mediums such as painting, printmaking, photography, jewelry, and structural art. There were hands-on activities, live art demonstrations, and live music performances by flutist Randa Khuri and acoustic guitarist Sam Bruckner, a high school sophomore. There was also free food provided by Needham businesses Rice Barn and Hearth Pizzeria. We conducted drawings on various gift certificates offered by other Needham businesses.
Thank you, NOS Inside-Out artists, for making our event a success by participating and volunteering. Credit also goes to volunteers who were not exhibiting. Thanks for bringing family and friends to also help. Thank you to the Town Economic Development Manager for all their immense help, and to the Select Board and the Needham Council on Arts and Culture for their generous support. Thank you to all the Needham businesses for their donations of food and gift cards. And a big thank you to all the visitors who stopped by, visited our booths, watched our demonstrations, listened to music, and even bought some amazing art!
